Xiaomi is now rolling out the Redmi Note 11 Android 12 update. The much-anticipated upgrade is available for global users, with other regions expected to receive the update soon. 

The Redmi Note 11 arrived on the global market early in the year pre-installed with Android 11 on top of MIUI 13. And six months after the release, Xiaomi is now upgrading the device to the Android 12, while it will also get Android 13, hopefully, next year.

Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 11 Android 12 update is seeding with a version number MIUI 13.0.2.0 SGCMIXM. It brings a stable MIUI based on Android 12 and bumps the device’s security patch level to June 2022. Given the latest patch bulletin, the update includes security and privacy vulnerabilities fixes.

There are some optimizations – Enhanced accessibility for Phone, Clock, and Weather app, while Mind map nodes are more convenient and intuitive after the upgrade. Nevertheless, we recommend backing up your data before proceeding with the installation as the update is a cross-section Android upgrade, and it’s likely to contain bugs.
