Xiaomi onwards will release two generations of Redmi Note series phones every year. One is to focus on performance, while the other will focus on new smartphone trends and innovation. Of course, they’ll keep the value to money ratio, which has been the basis of the lineup’s success. That’s evident in the recently released Redmi Note 11 Pro that starts at $250.

Redmi Note 11 Pro specs

It looks like Redmi will continue with the current design for their Redmi Note series phone. The Redmi Note 11 has a similar design to that predecessor, but the thickness is just 8.3mm. It has a volume rocker and power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner at the frame. The SIM tray is located on the bottom close to the USB-C and the speaker grills. You’ll find the second speaker on top, infrared, and the headphone jack.

The front panel features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 2.96mm diameter hole for that selfie camera. At the back is where a rectangular camera island is located at the top left. It houses three camera sensors and an LED flash. The device is available in Mysterious Black, Forest Green, Timeless Purple, and Milky Way Blue.

Redmi Note 11 Pro display

The device sports a tall 6.67-inch AMOLED panel. It was supplied by Samsung and has a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. That’ll improve the display performance, which also supports HDR10. The FullHD+ display will deliver punchy colors and maintain accurate details under heavy light. And for protection, it uses the Gorilla Glass 5.

Under that hood is a 5nm MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G SOC. Surprisingly, there’s no Snapdragon-powered offering this time. However, the Dimensity 920 SOC coupled with up to 8GB of RAM will deliver peak performance. Outside of the box, the device runs Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5. It will receive the Android 12 update, and hopefully, four iterations of MIUI updates.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro retains the Samsung 108MP HM2 sensor from the predecessor. It’s flanked by an 8MP Ultra wide-angle lens and a 2MP telemacro sensor. The sensors lack OIS but feature a dual Pixel PDAF and can shoot 4K videos at @30fps. On the front punch hole is a single 16MP sensor that can shoot 1080p@30fps.

Redmi Note 11 Pro battery and security

Power is drawn from a beefy 5160mAh battery. It supports a 67W charge, and according to Xiaomi, it will charge your device in 43 minutes from 0 to 100%. For security, the device makes use of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles as a power button. You are expected to use other security features built inside MIUI.

Redmi Note 11 Pro price and availability

The Redmi Note 11 Pro price will start from $250 for the base 6GB + 128GB models. It goes up to $297 for the 8GB + 128GB variants while that premium 8GB + 256GB options sell for $328. The device will be available in China from November 5.
