Xiaomi continues to bring HyperOS to eligible phones, with the Redmi Note 11S 4G / POCO M4 Pro 4G HyperOS the latest to start rolling out. It’s the global users getting the much-anticipated upgrade but limited to a few users for preview. We expect a wider rollout in the coming weeks after the beta preview.
Due to a bug, any new update is released to Mi Pilot members first for preview. The beta test takes two weeks, and depending on the feedback, Xiaomi decides whether to release that particular build to the public or work on a new update. In the case of the latter, it means a major bug was discovered, which could affect performance and user experience.
We have seen reports of bootloop issues after an upgrade to HyperOS, although the problem has remained exclusive to the Xiaomi 12 series. Nevertheless, we recommend waiting for feedback and backing up your data before installing the Global Redmi Note 11S 4G / POCO M4 Pro 4G HyperOS update.
The update is rolling out with a version number OS1.0.1.0.TKEMIXM and weighs 1.3GB. From the build number, the update does not include a new OS, as the device has elapsed its support, having received two Android OS upgrades. Nonetheless, we recommend installing the latest update to improve device performance.
While waiting for OTA, which might take some time before arriving at your device, ensure you have a locked bootloader. If you can’t wait for that update, you can download the Recovery ROM using the link below.
