Redmi Note 12 Android 14-based HyperOS 1.0 update is ready

The HyperOS update will start rolling out in the next few days starting from China, while the global release will commence in Q1 2024, according to the official rollout plan. However, we believe both the Chinese and Global release will happen simultaneously. A handful of global phones have their Android 14-based HyperOS 1.0 update ready, meaning the rollout will commence soon.

While Xiaomi always starts a major upgrade with flagship phones, they always surprise us by rolling out the same upgrade to a midrange device. We expect the Redmi Note 12 series phones to receive the Android 14-based HyperOS update soon, given that the stable build is ready.

According to GSMchina, Redmi Note 12 4G / 4G NFC will soon get the much anticipated Android 14 upgrade with a stable HyperOS 1.0. A build with version numbers (OS1.0.1.0 UMTMIXM and OS1.0.1.0 UMGMIXM) belonging to the devices has been spotted in Xiaomi sever. It is a stable build, meaning they are ready to start rolling out to the public. However, the company will release the update to limited users for preview before rolling it out to the public.

When will the Redmi Note 12 Android 14-HyperOS update start rolling out?

There is no ETA when the update will start rolling out, but we expect the first release next month. Xiaomi will likely start seeding it in China and then bring it to global users two weeks after the Chinese release. However, we have seen Global units receive updates before the Chinese models, hence, you might want to follow our social media platforms to know when the update starts rolling out.
