It’s been a couple of weeks since the Redmi Note 7 MIUI 12.5 update arrived for global users. The rollout was anticipated to be followed by a European release, but that didn’t happen. However, it seems Xiaomi has now begun deployment of the Redmi Note 7 MIUI 12.5 in Europe. The Russian variants seem to be getting the much-anticipated build, as well. As usual, it’s a limited rollout to allow Mi Pilots to preview the build before it starts seeding to the public.
The stable Redmi Note 7 MIUI 12.5 in Europe is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 QFGEUXM – while the Russian variants get a stable MIUI 12.5.1.0 QFGRUXM build. From the version numbers, both builds are based on Android 10. However, the current update has introduced some features of the current Android OS. Hopefully, the device gets MIUI 13 to deliver that of Android 12.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 7 MIUI 12.5 in Europe is seeding with the expected features. They include instant response to gestures, more rendering power, new device custom model, revamped Note app, reduced power consumption, and background memory usage. The update has revamped the control center and notification panel, while some bugs left by MIUI 12 have been addressed.
Aside from the new feature and bug fixes, the build has bumped the Android security patch level to August 2021. That has increased system security and stability while improving performance. You can check for the update via the updater app or download via the links below.
