Redmi Note 7 Pro start receiving MIUI 12.5 update in China

The focus is slowly shifting from MIUI 12.5 to MIUI 13 as we have started seeing potential features of the next iteration of MIUI arrive for closed beta testers. Earlier, we reported a feature that’s supposedly arriving in August to help fix the heating issue experienced by flagship Xiaomi phones. That is now available in China for select users, and hopefully, it will extend to other phones with MIUI 13. Meanwhile, the company is currently rolling out Redmi Note 7 Pro MIUI 12.5 update in China to improve performance and address some issues.

Xiaomi MIUI Android skin has some fascinating features that keep its users looking forward to a new update. But in the past few months, each build seems to bring a new bug. That increased after the MIUI 12 rollout. To fix some of these issues the company decided to release the current build, which is essentially a system improvement. 

According to the changelog, the update has improved animation, response to gestures, and enhanced security. It introduced a new sound, revamped the Note app, and improve the performance of the system. With the optimization done on the system, MIUI has become faster, smoother, and lighter. And hence, expect an improved performance after installing the Redmi Note 7 Pro MIUI 12.5 update. 

However, the Redmi Note 7 Pro MIUI 12.5 update is live in China. It will take some time to arrive in Europe and other regions, hopefully in the next few weeks.
