Although the stable MIUI 12 is currently being rolled out to eligible Xiaomi devices, the Redmi Note 8, for whatever reason, is yet to receive the stable version of the said update. A few days ago, POCO F1, started receiving a stable MIUI 12 globally, and we expected the Redmi Note 8 to get the same treatment. That isn’t the case, though, as the device nets yet another beta MIUI 12 based Android 10 update in china.
The MIUI 12 remains under closed beta testing in China and with the test suspended for global units, users can only participate in stable beta tests. Redmi Note 8 has been waiting for the update, especially the Android 10 build, but none seem to be arriving anytime soon.
Meanwhile, recent reports claim the deceive will receive both updates simultaneously, and if that should be the case, then we might see the Redmi Note 8 receive both MIUI 12 and Android 10 towards the end of this month or early September at most.
Nevertheless, the current Redmi Note 8 beta stable MIUI 12 based Android 10 update is for closed Chinese beta testers. It has a software designation ‘MIUI 12.20.8.13’ and will progressively arrive on all eligible devices. Although we have added a link from where you can download the update, it’s important to note that you can’t flash the ROM without an authorized Mi account.
