Xiaomi has surprisingly released the global Redmi Note 9 Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5. It’s surprising because the global Redmi Note 9 Pro is still waiting for MIUI 12.5. But with the recent development, we expect Xiaomi to skip the latter and release an Enhanced version of MIUI 12.5 instead. Meanwhile, the global Redmi Note 9 Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 is still a limited rollout for now. As usual, only selected users will receive the build to preview it for bugs.
The preview period will last for a couple of days, after which the update will reach the public. That’s if there are no bugs detected, but we doubt given that there hasn’t been such a report for some time now. The build will arrive with a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 RJOMIXM – in a 658MB package. It comes with features to improve performance and deliver more life between charges.
With the Redmi Note 9 Enhanced Edition, Xiaomi has introduced Atomized Memory, Liquid Storage, Focused Algorithm, and Smart Balance. These features will improve the device’s performance and improve battery backup. Also, it has introduced the Memory Extension feature, which converts part of the internal storage into a virtual RAM.
Aside from the additions, the update has bumped the Android security patch level to October 2021. It has increased system security and stability while addressing some bugs and optimizing performance. You can check for the complete changes here.
