Xiaomi continues to push the stable MIUI 12.5 update to eligible units as plans are already underway for the MIUI 13 unveiling. But that’ll be after the release of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, that is likely to arrive on global devices next month. However, it’s not a major update as it doesn’t bring any physical features, and also, it’s a part of MIUI 12.5. Hopefully, the build will be released to the Redmi Note 9, but before that, you might have to download the current build – MIUI 12.5.
As usual, the Redmi Note 9 MIUI 12.5 update in Europe is seeding to Mi Pilots for preview. The beta preview phase will last for some days before the public rollout commences but in the absence of bugs. However, we are optimistic that the update will arrive in the coming days as the build hasn’t been reported to be bricking phones or linked with any performance-threatening bug. But it’s still necessary to backup your data before installing any update.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 9 MIUI 12.5 update in Europe has a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RJOEUXM. It is based on Android 11. Hence, if you’re yet to upgrade to the latest Android OS, you can do that with MIUI 12.5. And aside from introducing features of the new MIUI OS and that of Android 11, the update bumped the Android security patch level to August 2021 to increase system security and stability. It also addressed some bugs and fortified the device ahead of future upgrades.
