The second phase of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is already underway, although we are few days before the official rollout schedule. Xiaomi was supposed to start seeding the update on October 8, according to the official release roadmap. But as usual, the company has started seeding the update ahead of schedule. It was the Redmi Note 10 5G that received the update earlier today. And now, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition has been released.
For starters, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is a rebadged Mi 10T Lite for the global market and Mi 10i for Indian. With the first now receiving the update, it means that the Global and Indian variants will be getting the update soon. Unfortunately, there’s no official timeframe, but given the past experience, the build might arrive on international models from November.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.4.0 RJSCNXM. It comes with the expected features, which include a Focused Algorithm, Atomized Memory, Liquid Storage, and Smart Balance. These features are for swift performance and to provide more life between charges. And aside from improving the performance, the update has bumped the Android security patch level to September 2021 to increase system security and stability.
If you’re using the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, you can check for the update via the updater app. There’s also an option to download via the link below, but that might return an error. If that’s the case, you should wait for the OTA to arrive in the coming days.
