Xiaomi is one of the major OEMs that are swiftly pushing the Android 11 update, although the company has complained about the resources required for the adoption. No doubt about that, given the changes Google made on its current Android OS. That alone required a series of work, but we’re not sure if it constitutes the bugs being faced by Mi Fans after the update. Perhaps, some bugs were introduced by Android 11, like third-party gestures not working. However, Xiaomi has promised to fix some of these issues with MIUI 12.5, and that might just be the reason why Redmi Note 9 Pro Android 11 update is yet a doubt for another month.
Redmi Note 9 Pro received Android 11 late last year, but the update is yet to arrive in every region. So far, only those running Indian stable ROM have received the update as Xiaomi prepares to extend the rollout. Last month, a Moderator in the Mi community forum alleged the update to start rolling at the end of April. Of course, that didn’t happen, and it looks like the update is also a doubt for this month.
According to the recent reply by a moderator in the community forum, Redmi Note 9 Pro Android 11 update was supposed to roll out last month. However, for some reason, the update didn’t arrive, but if the current internal stable build is smooth, we should expect a new update in the coming weeks. It’s different this time as there’s no particular timeframe, and we doubt if the update will be available this month.
Meanwhile, MIUI development ROM is currently suspended and will resume from May 10. For some time now, the company hasn’t been pushing updates, and we believe that will delay the Redmi Note 9 Pro Android 11 rollout in some regions. Again, we don’t know if the update will arrive alongside MIUI 12.5, but that is unlikely since some regions are already running the current Android OS on top of MIUI 12. Nevertheless, we hope to learn more in the coming weeks. Hence, don’t forget to keep an eye on our tracker to stay updated.
