Redmi Note 9 Pro MIUI 12.5 update now available globally. Download below…
The Redmi Note 9 Pro was one of the few mid-range phones to receive the Android 11 update. It received the update late last year in India but isn’t getting the same treatment with MIUI 12.5. Those in that region are yet to start receiving the new MIUI OS. Besides, no region has received the Redmi Note 9 Pro MIUI 12.5 update, but that has changed now. The update has been released in Europe, and as usual, it will arrive for beta testers before making it to the public.
There’s not much left to be said about the MIUI 12.5 update. Also, with the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition set to be unveiled globally next month, the former is losing its hype. Nevertheless, you won’t blame Mi Fans for constantly asking for the update, as it brought some fascinating features regardless. It improved animation, revamped the control and notification panel, reduced power consumption and background memory usage.
Meanwhile, aside from the features of the new MIUI OS, the Redmi Note 9 Pro MIUI 12.5 update in Europe brings the latest Android security patch level. That dates August 2021 to improve system security and stability. The update also improved performance and addressed some issues left by its predecessor. However, it has failed to address the third-party launcher compatibility issues and the ugly square chat bubbles. Hopefully, a new build will arrive in the future that’ll fix those issues.
For those running the European ROM, you can check for the update via the updater app – tap on ‘check for updates multiple times. It has a version number – MIUI 12.5.1.0 RJZEUXM.
