Xiaomi is already preparing for the release of Android 13. They plan to start rolling out the upgrade to eligible users as soon as Google pushes the consumer version. Hence, the company is working hard to finalize the distribution of Android 12 and will look to release the Redmi Note 9S and POCO X3 NFC Android 12-based MIUI 13 update this month.
Redmi Note 9S and POCO X3 NFC debuted with Android 10 on top of MIUI 12. Both phones currently run Android 12 and will soon receive an upgrade to Android 12. That’s probably the last Android OS version for both phones, but are likely to receive an upgrade to MIUI 14.

According to folks at Xiaomiui, a build with version number MIUI 13.0.2.0 SJWMIXM is ready. The update is expected to start seeding in the coming weeks (mid-August), starting with the global users. It should extend to other regions shortly after that.
The POCO X3 NFC also has a build ready to start rolling out soon. It’s based on Android 12 with a version number MIUI 13.0.1.0 SJGMIXM. We anticipate the release this month, and hopefully, it arrives with the August security patch.

As expected, Xiaomi has now released the much-anticipated Android 12-based MIUI 13 update to the global models of the Redmi Note 9S and POCO X3 NFC.
