The wait for the Redmi Note 9S Android 12 update is now over as global users start receiving the upgrade with a stable MIUI 13. It’s exclusive to Mi Pilots and would start seeding for the public after the beta preview.
It’s only been a couple of days since we reported that Xiaomi will soon release the Redmi Note 9S Android 12 update. The company is currently distributing it to global users, which comes with version number MIUI 13.0.2.0 SJWMIXM, and weighs 2.6GB.
The update comes with a stable MIUI based on Android 12, July 2022 security patch, optimizations, bug fixes, and new features. Meanwhile, it’s a cross-section Android upgrade, and we recommend backing up your data before proceeding with the installation.
Interestingly, it seems the update has enabled the MIUI 13 control center, but if that doesn’t work for you after upgrading, you should follow this link. Hopefully, other regions will start getting the upgrade in the coming days.
