Redmi unveiled the international version of the Note 9 Pro, a couple of days ago in an online event. At the launch event, the company said sales will commence April 7 on AliExpress. They also announced the price to start at $249 for the base 4/6GB version and the 6/128GB memory combo for $279.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 9S is available now at $299 on AliExpress. Unfortunately, it’s only the base variant that’s available, but there’s an expansion slot to add additional storage. You will be able to choose between White, Blue, and Gray colors.
The store offering you the chance to buy Redmi Note 9S at $299 is the Official Xiaomi Store. They are celebrating the company’s 10Th anniversary and will run the promo for three days. Therefore, if you want to buy the Note 9S, now is the best time to do it and save yourself a few bucks.
Note: the unit offered at $299 is the 6/64GB version. If you want the 6/128GB variant, you will have to wait for the official sale to commence, which is on April 7Th.
Let’s once more reveal the specs. The Note 9S has a big 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel. The panel is TÜV Rheinland low blue light certified, supports HDR10, and can reach 400nits brightness. It’s protected by a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is also splash resistant.
At the back is square camera housing with the Dual LED flash place below the arrangement. It houses a primary 48MP shooter, flanked by 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor, while the front snapper is a 16MP shooter.
Under the hood is the Snapdragon 720G Octa-Core processor coupled with Adreno 618 GPU for best graphics rendering. The battery is a big 5020mAh and supports 18W fast charging via USB-C port, and as expected, you get Android 10 outside-of-the-box based on MIUI 11.
