Redmi Note 9S debuts with a 6.67-inch display and SD 720G SoC.

Basically, the global version of the recently released Note 9 Pro. It comes with asymmetrical 3D Glass 5 finish, a 6.67-inch dot display of 91% body-to-screen ratio. The panel supports HDR 10, 450nit brightness, and is TÜV Rheinland low blue light certified. There’s a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at both sides for maximum protection. Also, the device is P2i certified to be splash resistant.

The SD 720G SoC fits the context very well with a frequency speed of 2.3GHz. It’s on the 8nm process and comes with 5Th generation Qualcomm AI engine. You will experience enhance gaming on low power consumption, and coupled with Adreno 618 GPU, delivers a super immersive cinematic experience.

There’s a 6GB RAM variant, perfect for gamers, and multitasking on high-level and 128GB internal storage. And if that’s not enough, there’s a dedicated memory slot for additional memory of 512GB. You get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner this time while the 3.5mm comes at the bottom with the IR blaster sitting on the top panel.

The Redmi Note 9S keeps the recent trend of a Quad-camera. It has a 48MP F/1.79 high-resolution camera lens that uses 1.6µm 4-in-1 pixel binning. It’s accompanied by a 119-degree 8MP ultra-wide lens, a macro, and depth sensor while on the front panel is a 16MP shooter.

Powering the device is a 5020mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging via USB-C port. The Redmi Note 9S runs MIUI 11 on top Android 10 and all the features.

Redmi Note 9S pricing and availability

The Redmi Note 9S will go on sale starting from April 7 on AliExpress. It will set you back $249 for the base 4/64GB variant while the 6/128GB variant will sell for $279. It will be available in colors of Interstellar Black, Aurora Blue, and Glacier White.

There’s a special MFF 2020 Limited Edition of the Redmi Note 9S to mark the 10th anniversary of the Mi Can Festival this year. However, only the 2020 units will arrive with paint job for the celebration.
