Samsung Exynos 2400 Benchmark score surfaces

The Samsung Exynos 2400 might turn out to be one of the most powerful chipsets in the market. And although quite surprising, it might be able to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 – another powerful chipset with amazing features.

Samsung Exynos 2400 Benchmark score surfaces

What we know about the Samsung Exynos 2400

According to rumors, the Samsung Exynos 2400 SoC will comprise a high-performance Cortex-X4, two Cortex-A720 Performance cores operating at a high clock speed, three additional Cortex-A720 Performance cores running at a lower clock speed, and four Cortex-A520 Efficiency cores.

According to reports, Samsung is planning to build a strong chipset that will be able to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 so it will be replaced in the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup. – that is, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be replaced by Samsung Exynos 2400. We see Samsung going back to the old practice of putting in Exynos chipset on the S series smartphones in North America and China.

Besides that, this will be saving Samsung some bucks. Reports also say that Samsung is planning to bump up the storage level of the Samsung S24. If the Samsung Exynos 2400 isn’t good enough, that strategy will fall through. Well, it seems the strategy will not be falling through as a tweet from a tipster reveals that the Samsung Exynos 2400 is up to par.

A run-through of Geekbench 5 yielded a single-core score of 1711 and a multi-core score of 6967. The average scores for single-core and multi-core were 1530 and 6210, respectively. The Exynos 2400 is 31% quicker than the Qualcomm processor, which scored 1604 (single-core) and 5311 (multi-core) on Geekbench. For reference, the Apple A16 Bionic outperformed the Samsung Exynos 2400 in single-core performance, but behind in multi-core performance with a score of 5344.

One important piece of information we’ve not obtained about the Samsung Exynos 2400 is the node manufacturing process. Should Samsung want to save money and also improve the specs of the S24, they should be planning on a 4nm mode or lower. We’ll see(with time) what the brand has in mind as regards the chipset.
