Samsung phones start receiving February 2024 Google Play system updates

The Google Play system updates for February were announced last month but didn’t roll out to eligible Pixel phones until a few days ago. Samsung Galaxy phones are now getting the update, which improves performance and introduces new features.

Google Play system updates are released to the Google Play services, Google Play store, and Android operating system. These updates are available for phones, tablets, ChromeOS, and all Android-powered devices, including Android TVs. Every month, Google releases an update to improve its performance, but unlike security patch updates, the Play System updates are always behind schedule.

Samsung phone users can now install the February 2024 Google Play system updates. According to the changelog, it improved device connectivity, network usage, security, stability, and updatability. Samsung phone users can download the 73MB package via Settings>Security and privacy>Updates>Google Play system update. Your device will scan for a new update, and if one is available, download and reboot your device after to complete the installation.
