Two of the M-series lineup have received the Android 13 update and we have another M-series from Samsung getting this software – it’s the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G Android 13 update. Hardly a day goes by that Samsung doesn’t take out Android 13 software these days.
It’s expected as the brand brags that it leads the Android 13 deployment second to Google(being the owner of the Android OS). What’s even more despicable about the Samsung Android 13 rollout is how the software gets to a vast majority of Galaxy smartphones.
Before the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G Android 13 update, the flagship S22, the S21, S20 and even some A-series, foldables and tabs have received the software – some of which received a series of beta releases before the stable version arrived.
The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G Android 13 update bears firmware version M426BXXU3CVK5 and is currently available in the Indian part of the world(more regions will follow in the coming weeks). Not only did we get the OneUI 5, but this software includes the November security patch bumping up the security level of this smartphone.
What’s new?
We’re quite familiar with what to expect with this update as we’ve seen it roll out on other smartphones. The OneUI 5 is integrated with a lot of features that range from UI enhancements to stock app improvements to accessibility and customisation improvements among many others.
The smartphone might not take up all the features present in the flagship, however, the features rolled out together with the November SMR should give this smartphone a new look.
