Samsung One UI 4 beta testers recruitment; Eligible phones and release date

With Google gearing towards the release of the stable Android 12 update, it makes sense that other OEMs start preparing for the rollout as well. Xiaomi has already started pushing the Android 12 beta update to a few phones, and Samsung is about to do the same. The South Korean company is recruiting One UI 4 beta testers, which is based on Android 12. That means we’ll not see the One UI 3.5 as previously suggested.

The Samsung One UI 4 beta testers recruitment is open to users in South Korea. Also, only those using the flagship Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra can participate for now. Of course, both carrier locked and SIM-free users are eligible to participate in the beta program. Unfortunately, it’s unclear how long the beta program will last to predict when the stable Android 12 update for Samsung phones will start seeding. Nevertheless, there’s now a time frame for the Samsung One UI 4 beta testing program.

How to join Samsung One UI 4 beta testers recruitment

Unfortunately, only North Korean users are eligible to participate. Also, eligible devices have been limited to three, which means they’ll be the first to receive the update. Of course, other phones will get the update, but that will be in the future. For now, you can sign up for the Samsung One UI 4 Beta testers program on Samsung’s member app. On the app, tap on the ‘Join One UI Beta Program banner.’

According to Samsung, the beta testing program will start this month. However, there’s no particular date, but we expect it to commence soon. Other regions will also get the same treatment, hopefully after the first phase is underway. Again, the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy 21 Ultra are the only eligible phones for now. The S20 series and Note 20 series are likely the next to start a beta program.
