Samsung is usually the first to release a new security patch update, but the tech company could not deliver on time this month. Xiaomi phones have been getting the May 2024 patch before Google started rolling it out to Pixel phones a few days ago. Galaxy phone users can now download the update, though only a few devices are getting the update.

Samsung is rolling out the May 2024 security patch update to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. The trio is getting a 518.71 MB package with version number S92XUSQS2AXD3. It’s exclusive to T-Mobile carrier in the US, with others expected to join in the release soon. 

According to the May 2024 security bulletin, the latest patch addressed over 29 security vulnerabilities ranging from high to critical. We recommend installing the update when prompted to improve security and optimize system performance.

Currently, the update is available for the Galaxy S24 series in the US. Those on T-Mobile can install the update via Settings>>System update>>Download and install. Follow the screen prompt to complete the installation after rebooting your device.

The Galaxy S24 series in Europe are now getting the much-anticipated May 2024 security patch update. It is rolling out with a version number S92XBXXS2AXD6 and weighs 450 MB. Of course, it’s a staged rollout, but you can check for it for those in Europe.
