Download the latest stable MIUI 12.5 update for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra / Pro below…
It might come as a surprise that the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra / Pro is just receiving the MIUI 12.5 update. The phones were believed to run Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5 outside-of-the-box. That couldn’t happen, and according to the company, “Before the phone is released, production and stocking will start long in advance, so it will be equipped with the latest MIUI stable version at the time of production of these phones. Therefore, Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra are not equipped with MIUI 12.5 stable version.”
However, the company promised to release the stable MIUI 12.5 update for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra / Pro, and they have done just that. According to the latest report, both phones are now receiving the update in China. The update has a software designation, MIUI 12.5.2.0 RKACNXM. It is a stable beta release, meaning only a handful of users will receive the update via OTA. Those who tried to sideload the ROM received an error message, “can’t verify the update: You can only update to the latest Beta ROM while using a stable version.”
That means you can’t flash the ROM successfully, not without an authorized Mi Beta account. Of course, if you have a compatible TWRP Recovery installed, you can flash the ROM successfully. Nevertheless, you can wait for the OTA, which will arrive in the next few days if everything goes smoothly.
As for the global release, unfortunately, we don’t have an idea when the update will arrive for the global users. But because both devices involved are flagship phones, it’ll be among the first few to receive the update.
