A few days ago, Xiaomi started rolling out the stable MIUI 12 update to Redmi Note 9 users globally. The update has now been released for the EEA users as well and will make it to all eligible users in a few days.
The stable MIUI 12 for Redmi Note 9 in Europe is arriving with a version number, MIUI 12.0.1.0 QJOEUXM, and weighs in at 538MB. It’s based on Android 10 and comes with all the features of the latest Android skin. Of course, it didn’t arrive with the super wallpaper function. Xiaomi is prioritizing that feature for the high performing device, mainly it’s flagship phones.
However, you will get other amazing features such as Dark mode 2.0, Floating Windows, Enhanced Privacy, Revamped System UI, New system Animation, amongst others, which can be found here. It also bumps the Android security level to July, improves the system security, and fixes bugs.
As always, the Stable MIUI 12 for Redmi Note 9 in Europe will first rollout to selected users for preview. After the preview stage, which will probably take some days, and in the absence of no serious issues, the general public will start getting the update. But if you can wait for the public release, you can download the recovery ROM and flash on your device.
It’s now obvious that Xiaomi is prioritizing the Redmi Note 9 over the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Recall that the Pro variant didn’t launch in China, and might be the reason why it hasn’t received the MIUI 12 update. Nevertheless, we expect the update to start arriving for the Pro variant this week.
