The POCO F1 recently received the beta stable MIUI 12 update a couple of days ago. Still, in the beta phase, only users who enrolled in Beta testing received the update. They’re to preview the ROM and report back to developers of any bug. After the beta preview, the general public will start getting the stable build, which should be free from all the bugs that were reported during the beta phase.

Going by the previous rollouts, it usually take two weeks to conclude beta testing, which after that, the stable rollout will commence for eligible users. However, the stable MIUI 12 update for POCO F1 is likely to be delayed, given the number of bugs reported so far.

Recall that Xiaomi introduced the flagship killer in 2018, running what was Qualcomm’s most powerful Chipset then – Snapdragon 845. The device is already two years old, and smartphone development has seen so much improvement in that time. Xiaomi, in the context of current smartphone development, designed the MIUI 12, which is why some features like Super Wallpapers and the New camera functions have compatibility issues in older devices and mid-rangers.

The Poco F1, although debuted as the flagship killer, has seen the performance dwindle in the last few months. That was evident after the release of beta stable MIUI 12 update, with the device missing out on some features. Also, users testing the beta ROM are reporting lots of bugs, and that might see the public rollout delayed.

Some of the bugs that have been reported includes

  • Syncing issue in Mi cloud
  • System lag
  • Poor performance
  • Scrolling in-app, not good
  • Overheating
  • Touch lag when playing PUBG
  • Charging and notification light not showing
  • Unable to merge calls in a conference call and more

Of course, fixing bugs takes time, and now many of them are being reported, it will probably take more time. We believe it will see the stable MIUI 12 update for Poco f1 delayed as to fix all these bugs. Nevertheless, we think it’ll be good to wait for feedback before jumping on the update when it’s finally released.
