Xiaomi is currently pushing a new update to the Redmi Note 8 units in Europe, a few days after it released a stable update for the device in China. And while the device in China supposedly received its third MIUI 12 build, European users are just receiving their second build, which will bring the much anticipated MIUI 12 features to more devices.
As usual, the stable update for Redmi Note 8 in Europe is still in the beta phase. Only a few people will receive the update, and if their feedback is good enough, the public rollout will commence in the coming days. However, we are yet to see anyone that has received the update. But according to Moderator in the Mi community forum, a new stable update for Redmi Note 8 in Europe is being rolled out.
The update, meanwhile, is arriving with a version number MIUI 12.0.2.0 QCOEUXM, and it’s OTA bound. You can check for the update via system updates (updater app). Arriving with the update is the November security patch as well as improved system security. You’re also going to notice an improvement in performance and minor bug fixes.
And since the EU version of the Redmi Note 8 is now receiving its second MIUI 12 build, which was released for the global users weeks ago. We expect a wider rollout to start for the latter, and that’s going to see more people receive the MIUI 12 update for the first time.
That said, we are going to keep monitoring the situation and will report here accordingly once new information pops up in favor of the global users yet to receive the MIUI 12 update for the first time. For those already running the new MIUI skin on their device, a new update seems to be available. You can check out for the update through this link.
