The last time Poco Global released a device that isn’t a rebadged Redmi phone was in 2018 – the flagship killer POCO F1. Although the company, this year after gaining independence, has added three smartphones to its stables. They include POCO X2, which is a renamed Redmi K30, POCO F2 Pro, the Pro version of the K30, and the POCO M2 Pro is a rebadged Redmi Note 9 Pro.
However, that’s about to change now. Going by recent reports, the Xiaomi sub-brand is about to announce a new device, supposedly the POCO X3. Thus far, some specs of the device have been confirmed, including the primary camera lens, charging speed, which hints at the battery size.
From the FCC listing, the POCO X3 has a model number, M2007J20CG. It confirms a 5160mAh battery capacity with support for a 33W fast charging solution. Also, the device seems to feature only 4G connectivity even though it has been rumored to run Snapdragon 765G chipset. Other features revealed by the listing include Wi-Fi 5 (ac), Bluetooth 5.1.
The Manager of POCO Global has also confirmed the primary 64MP camera and what should be a new fast-charging solution. It was in a teaser, which also revealed the charging speed graph in comparison with the Samsung Galaxy A71.
According to the graph, it will take just 65 minutes to fully charge the POCO X3’s battery while Galaxy A71 needs 80 minutes to refill the 4,500mAh battery with the 25W fast charger. We hope to see how Poco managed to pull that one-off, given that the 5000mAh battery on the M2 Pro hits 50% in 30 minutes while the X3 did it in less time, and both features the same charging speed.
There’s still no tentative date for the launch, but expect that to be soon since the company has started teasing the device. Also, the Manager has promised to share details about the POCO X3 soon, and hopefully, he will also reveal the launch date.
