The Mi Mix Alpha is the last smartphone from the innovative Mi Mix series. It featured a wrap-around flexible super AMOLED display and other innovative specs, but unfortunately, Xiaomi didn’t release it to the market. The company sees the device as a concept phone and not a direct successor of the Mi Mix 3, which according to Digital Chat Station, will be succeeded by the upcoming Mi Mix 4.
According to the renowned Chinese tipster, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will arrive in 2021, with some yet to debut features. The company will move from a wrap-around display, which features in the Mi Mix Alpha, to a folding display. It’s going to be a foldable panel with QHD resolution. However, it’s still unclear at the moment what it will look like, but we hope to find out soon enough if the rumors are true.
Another spec that has been rumored is a 200W fast charging solution. Yes, you read that right. Currently, the 120W, which debuted alongside the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, and charges the phone fully in 26 minutes, is the fastest yet. However, according to reviews, the phone gets very hot and is definitely going to be hotter charging with a 200W adapter.
That said, we expect the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 to be very innovative. However, there are currently no plans for mass production for this series, according to Digital Chat Station. The company is looking to announce a successor to the Mi Mix 3 next year, and we hope the phone is made available in the market when it launches.
For now, information about the device is limited, but so far, very impressive. And if the rumors are true, we expect to learn more about the device in the coming weeks or months, depending on when the company will be having a launch event.
