Although Xiaomi only unveiled the MIUI 12.5 a couple of weeks ago, they’re already rolling out new features with each new closed beta update. The latest version, which arrived some days ago with a version number, MIUI 12.5 21.1.5, adds some cool features to the camera app while adjusting the brightness slider.
Among the features of the latest MIUI 12.5 closed beta update presents, the brightness slider adjustment is the most visible. Before the recent update, the slider sticks to the control center when it’s revealed halfway and disappears on full screen. Now, the brightness slider will always stick to the control center, which makes it more accessible.
Another cool feature is the recently added magic clone freeze-frame mode. It works only with people in landscape mode, and you can create up to four clones at a time. What the “magic clone freeze-frame mode” does is help make up to four clones. It then merges into one as the video progresses with some cool effects. You should be familiar with the feature if you use TikTok.
Also, a new Vlog mode comes with the latest MIUI 12.5 closed beta update. It adds colors to your video and allows some feature that’s only obtainable with Snapchat. The features let you add music to your videos and other cool effects. Unfortunately, only those participating in the closed beta test will get these features for now. We expect a wider rollout with the MIUI 12.5 stable update, which is expected to start seeding in April.
For the global ROM users, there’s no ETA as to when the update will be released. Also, the company is yet to start recruiting beta testers for the update. We believe they might be planning a global unveiling of the MIUI 12.5 alongside the Mi 11 series, but we hope to learn more in the coming days.
