The update version number is MIUI 12.10.26 & 20.10.27. It’s for the Chinese models participating in the closed beta testing. Going by the latest report on Xiaomi and MIUI News, a Xiaomi exclusive telegram channel, the update brings a new “Use USB for”, New Synchronize UI, revamped “Do Not Disturb UI, and revamped manage keyboard interface.

The new USB interface is enabled only for Android 10 and 11 devices. It’ll let you choose between three options: No data transfer, File transfer, and photo transfers. As for the new synchronized UI, only Xiaomi phones running Android 11 have their UI revamped.

As for the DND, there’s an option to schedule DND sessions. It allows you to choose when it becomes active and if you want it on repeat or selected days. And because it’s part of the Android 11 feature, it’s only enabled on devices running the new OS. Also, the keyboard interface receives some nice touch, and it’s looking nice.

For now, it’s still unclear if these new UI’s will get to older phones or those running Android 9. Also, there’s no time frame as to when to see them arriving for stable users, but we expect that to happen very soon. And for the global users, most times, Xiaomi leaves them out on some of these features, but we hope things to be different this time.

Nevertheless, we’ll be on the lookout for additional information, and hopefully, the stable users will start getting this new revamped UI very soon. To start receiving MIUI 12 China beta update, you’ve to be running Chinese version of MIUI on your device. And here is how to become a beta tester.
