The new Redmi Note phones appear on TENNA, hints at an imminent launch

There have been a series of leaks in the past few days pointing at the imminent unveiling of a new Redmi Note phones. Both phones will launch as a premium version of the Redmi Note 9 series with their processor hinting at 5G connectivity. Perhaps, that should be the reason for a new Redmi Note phones as the earlier ones doesn’t have 5G bands, and probably because of that didn’t make it to China.

And while it’s still unclear when these new Redmi Note phones will debut, it has been spotted on the TENAA website, hinting at an imminent launch. The specs listed on the Chinese regulatory agency website are also in agreement with early leaks.

Both phones have a model number M2007J22C and M2007J17C. The former is said to be the vanilla version and dubbed Redmi Note 9 5G. It runs an Octa-Core SoC with the highest frequency clocking at 2.4GHz, which matches the rumored Dimensity 800U SoC. The SoC is going to be paired with multiple RAMs – 4/6/8GB and 64/128/256GB ROMs.

On the front panel is a 6.53-inch FullHD+ display. It has a punch hole for the 13MP selfie shooter, while the rear camera features a primary 48MP sensor. Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery with a 22.5W fast charging solution.

The M2007J17C model is a reworked Mi 10T Lite according to the pictures on TENAA. It has a 6.67-inch panel with a centered punch hole that houses the 16MP selfie shooter, while the rear camera will have a primary 108MP module.

As for the processor, the device will feature the newly released Snapdragon 750G SoC. It will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The listing also reveals the color options of the new Redmi phones as Black, Red, Blue, Pink, White, Green, Purple, Gray, and Silver. We hope to learn more about the device in the coming days, especially the launch date and price tags.
