The official unveiling of MIUI 12.5 took place in China on December 28, 2020. During the event, Xiaomi revealed its devices that’ll receive the update on the first wave. On the list are Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10 Ultra, and other high-end devices. According to the rollout schedule, the rollout will start this month but was pushed forward after the unveiling of the Mi 11 Ultra. The device debuted with MIUI 12.5 on top of Android 11, which is now joined by Mi 9 SE, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Mi 10 Pro. However, a supposed list of devices for the second phase of the stable MIUI 12.5 rollout plan for the Chinese branch has surfaced online.
According to the screenshot above, the first wave of stable MIUI 12.5 rollout will start at the end of this month (April 30). However, those devices expected to receive the update with the current time frame are already running MIUI 12.5. But maybe by April 30, the company wants to finalize the rollout for this set of phones. Nevertheless, if your device falls among those on the list, you can manually flash the recovery ROM via the link.
The second phase of the stable MIUI 12.5 rollout will commence towards the tail of May. That’s unlikely, however, given how the rollout started. We expect the second wave to start ahead of schedule, which will see the below devices receive the latest iteration of MIUI in the coming weeks.
