Perhaps, the Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 is another iteration of MIUI based on MIUI 12.5. At first, we thought the update will be exclusive to premium phones, given the features it presents. It turns out that we were wrong as Xiaomi is currently pushing the update to all devices with active support. The company has just announced the third batch of Xiaomi phones to receive the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.

Xiaomi phones have three years support period aside from the Xiaomi 11T, 11T Pro, and 11 Lite NE 5G. The trio is eligible for four years of support, during which they’ll receive three Android OS upgrades. Of course, they’ll receive new iterations of MIUI during this period. However, they’re yet to receive the Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5, but that could start seeding, given the announcement of the third batch of the rollout.

Over 23 Xiaomi phones have been listed to receive the Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 before the end of December. That sounds about right for the unveiling of the MIUI 13, expected to arrive before the year ends. Meanwhile, it seems these phones have already started receiving the update in China, given the recent update releases in that region.

Interestingly, since the update is supposedly rolling out, we expect the global release in the coming days. We expect a swift rollout as the company prepares to usher in the next iteration of MIUI – MIUI 13. Below is the list of the third batch of Xiaomi phones to receive the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.

Seemingly, the update has started rolling out, and given the nature of OTA rollout, it might take days before getting to your device. Also, some functions, services, and optimization might differ due to different phone development and models.
