Xiaomi 11 Lite New Edition is a refreshed version of the Mi 11 Lite 5G. Both feature a Qualcomm 700 series SoC with 5G internet connectivity. The former runs the Snapdragon 778 Octa-Core processor, while the latter uses the Snapdragon 780 SoC. Aside from that, the specs are similar, but the new version brings more color options. Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite NE Specs
The Mi 11 Lite NE looks essentially like the Mi 11 Lite. Both phones have the same rear design and camera bump. It has a glass build made of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for a sturdy build. At the frame is the power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner. The volume rocker button sits on top. Unfortunately, there is no headphone jack, but you get dual stereo speakers. The earpiece doubles a speaker and works with the speaker grille at the button, close to the USB-C port. Xiaomi Mi 11 NE comes in Truffle Black, Bubblegum Blue, Peach Pink, and Snowflake White.

It’s an AMOLED panel again. The display refreshes at 90Hz and supports a 240Hz touch sampling rate for smooth gaming and scrolling. To complement the sturdy build, Xiaomi made use of Gorilla Glass 5. The device is IP53 certified, making it resistant to splash and dust.

Under the hood is a Snapdragon 778 Octa-Core processor built on a 6nm process. It has a single prime core at 2.4GHz, 3 kryo 670 cores at 2.2GHz, and 4 kryo 670 cores at 1.90GHz. The SoC is paired with up to 8GB RAM and Adreno 642L GPU for graphics rendering. Outside of the box, the device runs Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5. That makes it eligible for Android 12 and 13, at least.

The primary 64MP shooter is capable of 4k@30fps. Xiaomi is limiting the shooting to 4k, although the device can shoot 8K videos. Perhaps, they’re leaving it for the Xiaomi 11T Pro. Nevertheless, you still get a decent shot from the triple camera sensors – 64MP wide sensor, 8MP Ultra-wide, and 5MP macro shooter. The front camera is a single 20MP shooter with support for Face unlock.

Power is drawn from a 4250mah battery. That’s a tad small, given the power-hungry features. However, with the optimization of the processor, you will get a decent running time on a single charge. Also, you get a 33W fast charge for a quick refill. For security, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi has optimized the sensor and has integrated other features aside from unlocking your device.
