With a lot of brands trying to top the charts in the art of short-form videos, we’ve seen some imitations across various platforms in a bid to outplay one another. Well, it seems one of the brands, TikTok is introducing a feature via a new update. This feature is the “TikTok Now ” and it will be helping content creators scale up on TikTok.
What’s TikTok Now?
TikTok Now is a tool initiated on the TikTok app to boost the authentic sharing experience. Users can simply pick up their phone and take a ten-second picture or video, after which they can share it with another user to get a response. You can share different moments of your day with anyone and get a response from them as well.
As mentioned earlier, the short video moguls are sometimes caught in the art of imitation to scale up in the competition. TikTok Now has similar functionality to a feature on BeReal, a brand offering short-form videos as well. With Bereal, you can share pictures of different moments within two minutes. A little difference in the app compared to TikTok Now is that you can use the tool on both the front-facing and back-facing cameras.
Speaking on the availability of TikTok Now, the feature is being integrated and tested on the US users’ TikTok. However, those in other regions will have to download the software separately to access that functionality. Meanwhile, it is worth noting that TikTok is putting a level of restrictions on users under the age of 18 ( the younger the user, the higher the restriction). Also, users who encounter a service violation can report the account of such.
