Unofficial Android Oreo ROM Ported to Samsung Galaxy S7

As surprising it might sound, some Samsung Galaxy S7 has started receiving Android Oreo update. Some couple of days ago, a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge user got the Android Oreo update, along with Samsung Experience 9.0, currently rolling out to Galaxy S8 and S8+.

However, it turns out that it was not only one user that received the update in Vietnam, with one of them offering a system and kernel dump, so that the unofficial ROM could be made available for those users with Galaxy S7 Edge, powered by Exynos and unlocked

A member of XDA-developer was fast enough to come up with a functional ROM that is based on the leaked software in Vietnam. With this latest development, users of Samsung Galaxy S7 series will enjoy Android Oreo sooner than Samsung will officially release the update to the device.

Note: flashing unofficial or vendor ROM is not recommended if you don’t know your away around unlocking bootloader, flashing recovery, and downloading the main ROM file. So it will be better to wait for the official ROM from Samsung if your unfamiliar with non of the above-mentioned.
