Vivo Y81

Vivo has officially released yet another lower tier device into the Y-series, dubbed Vivo Y81 haven already released the Vivo Y83 and Y71 this year. The new device featured 6.22-inch notch display, powered by MediaTek MT6762 Helio P22 Quad-core processor and coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The camera department houses just a single 13MP snapper while there is a 5MP front selfie snapper.
Coming to the power department, it features 3260mAh non-removable battery that supports Micro USB charging. Debuted with Vivo Y81 is a facial identification sensor to guarantee maximum smartphone security and out of the box, the device will run Android 8.1 based on ColorOS 4.0 user interface.

Under the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass, Vivo Y81 will display vivid and vibrant images that will enhance the user’s experience.

Performance

Behind the brain-box for Vivo Y81 is an Octa-core (2.0GHz cortex-A53) Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 processor. The chipset is coupled with 3GB RAM for maximum multitasking and seamless operation, while PowerVR GE8320 is there to ensure maximum graphics. Out of the box, the device will run ColorOS 4.0 user interface based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Storage

Vivo Y81 debuted with 32GB internal memory storage with an expand let memory slot on a dedicated capacity of 256GB to provide more additional space for all your media files and documents. Though a mid-range device but the total achievable memory sums up a premium storage.

Camera

Vivo Y81 didn’t actually impress with a single 13MP rear-facing snapper accompanied by f/2.2 aperture lens, phase detection autofocus and LED-Flash for clear and bright pictures. The sensor did also feature Geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus, wide angle, and HDR. On the front panel is a 5MP selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture lens for exquisite selfie shots.

Security

Vivo Y81 feature no physical means of identification except the facial unlock ID, that scans your face to successfully unlock your smartphone. It’s convenient, easy and more efficient compared to other methods of phone unlocking.

Battery

For a maximum power supply, Vivo Y81 has a 3260mAh non-removable battery that supports Micro USB charging but lacks fast battery charging technology. However, you do get a fully charged battery under 120 minutes which goes on to last for more than 24hours considering the power efficient processor.
