Xiaomi is now rolling out the much-anticipated Android 14-based HyperOS update to their 2020 flagship device. The update is seeding for limited users in Europe for preview, with a public release in the coming weeks. However, you can install the Recovery ROM with an authorized Mi Beta account.
Xiaomi 11 arrived in December 2020, running Android 11, and has since got two Android OS upgrades. The new update means the device has received three OS upgrades in the last 40 months. It might be the last upgrade, but the phone will receive HyperOS 2.0.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 11 Android 14-based HyperOS update is seeding with a version number OS1.0.2.0.UKBEUXM and weighs around 4.90 GB. It comes with all the expected HyperOS features, including a new home screen icon, revamped control center, and redesigned weather app while optimizing performance.
In addition to these features, Xiaomi improved security and bumped the Android security patch level to March 2024. We recommend installing the update after you have backup your data. There have been cases of glitches and bugs after installing HyperOS. You can check for all reported bugs here and ensure your bootloader is locked.
While the update is available for only select users in Europe, you can download the Recovery ROM using the link below and install it manually. However, you need an authorized Mi Beta account, otherwise, wait for the OTA to arrive on your device.
