Xiaomi 12S Ultra HyperOS update is now available in China

While the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro are getting the Android 14-based HyperOS update globally, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra HyperOS update is now rolling out in China. The update is available for Mi Pilots members to preview before the public release commences.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra HyperOS update is rolling out with a version number OS1.0.4.0.ULACNXM and weighs 5.6GB. It comes with all the expected features, which include a new animation language to improve the smoothness. Also, the update brought a revamped control panel while the weather app has been redesigned and security improved.

There’s what Xiaomi calls comprehensive refactoring, which improves storage management to make the device faster. New system fonts and home screen icons were introduced, among other exciting features. Aside from that, the update has bumped through the Android security patch level to January 2024 to increase system security.

As usual, it will take a few weeks before the update arrives for everyone, but you can download the Recovery ROM using the link below. Ensure you have an authorized Mi Beta account and check all the reported HyperOS bugs before installing the update. Also, before you install the update, your bootloader must be locked, otherwise the installation might not be successful.
