Xiaomi is on course to unveil its next iteration of MIUI in the coming weeks. These past few weeks have seen many reports about the upcoming Android skin. Even the Redmi Executive, Lu Weibing, teased about the update not being far behind. Also, we have come across MIUI 13 based Android 12 builds for flagship Xiaomi phones, hinting at the imminent MIUI 13 official unveiling. And according to reports from China, Xiaomi has allegedly set a date for MIUI 13 release.
Xiaomi is said to have scheduled a launch event for December 16 for the unveiling of the Xiaomi 12 series. The event will start at 19:30 CST (13:30 GMT) and will last for four hours. That’s probably long for a device launch, meaning other products will debut. Of course, we expect MIUI 13 official unveiling that day, given the event of last year.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is yet to confirm any of this launch time frame for its upcoming flagship phone. The company also hasn’t said anything about the MIUI 13 official unveiling date. For now, it’s only a rumor, but we expect the launch to happen within that time frame. The reason is that MIUI 12.5 arrived on December 28, and it would make sense to announce MIUI 13 on the alleged date. And if that’s the case, we expect the company to start teasing its new UI in the coming weeks.
