Xiaomi Civi 1S Android 14 HyperOS update is now rolling out
With Android 15 in the works, we expect eligible Xiaomi phones to start testing the update soon. We expect the Chinese company to release Android 14 to all supported phones as it moves to join the Android 15 Developer preview. That’s probably the reason a handful of phones have received the update, with the Xiaomi Civi 1S Android 14 HyperOS update the latest to start rolling out.
Xiaomi Civi 1S arrived in April 2022, running Android 12 on top of MIUI 13, meaning the device upgraded to Android 13 with MIUI 14. It’s currently receiving a new Android OS upgrade with HyperOS, which might be the last major Android OS upgrade to the device. We recommend installing the update as it improves performance and introduces new features.
The Xiaomi Civi 1S Android 14 HyperOS update is rolling out with a version number OS1.0.1.0.ULPCNXM and weighs 5.3GB. Aside from HyperOS features, the update bumps the Android security patch level to February 2024 to increase system security and stability. While waiting for the OTA, ensure you have a locked bootloader and check all the reported HyperOS bugs. Recent reports hint at a bootloop issue but limited to the Xiaomi 12 series phones. You can always look out for feedback before installing the update.
