Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro debuts with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3

Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro becomes the first phone to run the newly released Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Octa-Core SoC. The device is China-exclusive for now, but reports claim it will be available in select markets globally.

Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro debuting the new Qualcomm SoC first shows the relationship between both companies. The device continues the design language of its predecessor of a circular camera island at the back, a pilled-shape selfie camera, a thin and a light body. About the body, Xiaomi uses a metal frame with glass coming on both the front and back panels. There is a special version with a silicone polymer back (eco-leather).

The Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro has a 6.55-inch AMOLED display of 2750 x 1236 px resolution. It supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate with a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The panel is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which is resistant to scratches and mild falls.

Under the glass is a 32 MP dual selfie sensor. The primary shooter has a 78-degree FoV and f/2.0 aperture, while the secondary lens is Ultra-wide. It has a 100-degree FoV and an f/2.4 aperture. Also, there is an optical fingerprint scanner for biometrics authentication.

The circular island at the back features a triple camera arrangement. It is a primary 50 MP shooter, a 50 MP portrait lens with 2x telephoto zoom, and a 12 MP Ultra-wide angle sensor with 120-degree FoV. There is a single LED flash and the Leica branding.

Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro has a 4,700 mAh battery that supports 67 W wired charging. With the charger that comes with the phone, it will take 40 minutes to fill the battery. Outside-of-the box, the device runs Android 14 on top of HyperOS 1.0.

Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro price and availability

The device is available in two memory options – 12/256 GB or 12/512 GB and starts at CNY 2,999 ($415). You can get the phone in four colours: Wild Green, Soft Mist Pink, Breeze Blue, and Starry Black.

There is a Kona leather version available in a 16/512 GB memory combo. It is the same price as the regular model but is limited, meaning once the sock finishes, the promo will end.
