There has been a lot of news about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 10T series device, but one thing has eluded everyone – the launch date – till now. The company has now confirmed that it will unveil the device on September 30, which is exactly one week from today.
We expect to see the Mi 10T, the Pro variant, and a Lite model, which will probably feature the newly released Snapdragon 750G SoC. The Mi 10T Lite, according to Xiaomi, will start below €300.
As for the premium models, rumors have it that the device will feature the Snapdragon 865 SoC with 6GB as the base RAM. They’ll make use of an LCD panel that refreshes at 144Hz, and that has seen the fingerprint scanner moved to the side, just like in the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
For optics, the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro will employ the service of an 108MP module, while the non-pro variant will use a 64MP snapper. Of course, the device will run stable MIUI 12 outside-of-the-box, based on Android 10. However, we won’t be surprised if they debut running Android 11, but it’s probably too early.
We already know the price of the more affordable variant, which is the Mi 10T Lite. Also, it has been alleged that the Mi 10T Pro will start at €599, and the Mi 10T will sell for €499. This recent price leak, however, contradicts the Amazon listing that suggested the device will start from €640 for the Pro model and €540 for the non-pro variant.
Nevertheless, since the launch is a few days away, we would gladly wait for Xiaomi to reveal the pricing. And yes, the device is launching globally. There has been a rumor that Xiaomi will introduce the device in China as the Redmi K30T, and we hope to find out more in the coming days.
