Alleged Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro with Snapdragon 865 Plus, 144Hz display, and 108MP camera surfaced online

Early this year, Xiaomi launched the Redmi K30 Pro with Snapdragon 865 SoC in China. After the launch, it was expected that at some stage in the future the device will arrive in the global market, as Mi 10T Pro. That will see the company follow on the path of last year’s Redmi K20 Pro, which is sold as Mi 9T Pro globally.

However, the Chinese OEM had a different plan. It has since introduced the Redmi K30 Pro to the global market as POCO F2 Pro, and it won’t be a good market strategy offering the same phone as Mi 10T Pro. And just when people are beginning to believe the Mi 10 Ultra might succeed the Mi 9T Pro, a new Xiaomi phone, with a model number, M2007J35G and code name Apollo, supposedly the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro has surfaced online.

Going by the design, it’s a new phone – not a rebadged Redmi phone. Around the back is a rectangular shaped camera bump with a total of three camera lenses. The primary camera is a big 108MP sensor, possibly the same sensor on the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Of course, there should be an Ultra wide-angle lens and a macro shooter, which are probably the other two sensors at the back.

The device will support up to 144Hz refresh rate, first for any Xiaomi phone and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, which hints at a possible LCD panel. Under the hood is Snapdragon 865 plus SoC, with 5G support, while power will be drawn from a massive 5000mAh battery.

As for the pricing, the Mi 10T Pro is expected to start at around CNY 3,000+ ($400+), according to Digital Chat Station. At that price, the device will compete very well with other flagship phones in the market, but considering the high cost of the SD 865 Chipset and the 108MP module, that price doesn’t seem feasible. Also, the POCO F2 Pro retailed at $499 during launch, even with a 64MP camera, we expect the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro to cost more, at least, on the Global market.

The device is set to debut in September, which is few weeks from now. The Mi 10T is also set to arrive soon, and we expect both devices to share some features. We hope to learn about other features of the phone and more in the coming days.
