While we wait for the global HyperOS 1.0 update, the December 2023 security patch update has started seeding. As usual, only select users are getting the update, and we expect a wider rollout in the coming weeks.
Google recently published the December 2023 security patch bulletin detailing all the security flaws resolved with the update. With the Xiaomi December 2023 security patch, these fixes are now rolling out for Xiaomi phones.
So far, the update is rolling out for the Redmi Note 10S with a version number MIUI 14.0.6.0 TKLINXM in India, the same phone as the Redmi Note 11SE. Redmi Note 11S 4G/ POCO M4 Pro is getting the update with a version number MIUI 14.0.6.0 TKEIDXM. Another device getting the latest security patch update is the Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G. It is a global rollout and comes with a build number MIUI 14.0.5.0 TGDMIXM.
Aside from bumping these devices’ security patch level to December 2023, it also addressed bugs and optimized performance. And with the HyperOS 1.0 update expected soon, we recommend installing the update for a seamless upgrade.
