Samsung and Google have already rolled out the May 2023 security patch update to eligible users, and now Xiaomi users are getting the update. The Chinese company has improved with its latest Patch update release. However, only limited users are getting the update, but we expect more people to get it in the coming days. 

With the May 2023 security patch, Google patched 18 security vulnerabilities with the patch dated 2023-05-01 and 29 bugs in the 2023-05-05 patch. These security flaws ranges from moderate to high. Of course, Xiaomi’s May 2023 security patch update includes these patches and fixes for the bug affecting their devices. 

The company promised to resolve some bugs with its next update, and we believe the current update has done that. You can check the MIUI 14 bug tracker to see the bugs that the company is fixing with the current update.

Meanwhile, the latest release with May 2023 security patch is limited to Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite. It’s exclusive to those in Taiwan and comes with the MIUI 14 upgrade but sans Android 14. Of course, it has delivered all the features of MIUI 14 while improving performance and resolving issues. 

The update is seeding with a version number MIUI 14.0.2.0 SJSTWXM and weighs 3.2GB. We expect other regions to start getting the upgrade in the coming days.
