Xiaomi always has a way of surprising everyone when it comes to how they deploy updates. The Mi 10T Lite was due for the MIUI 12.5 update weeks ago in Europe, but yesterday, the company started pushing a new MIUI 12 based build to the device. We thought the update was delayed, but a few hours after that, Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite MIUI 12.5 update in Europe started seeding. Perhaps, the release before this one was targeted to select regions, and hopefully, the MIUI 12.5 will be available for everyone in the coming days.
The Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite MIUI 12.5 update in Europe is a limited rollout as usual. It is currently seeding to select users known as Mi Pilots for bug preview. That will last for a couple of days before the public starts getting the update. However, it doesn’t work that way most times as non Beta testers are also getting the update. It seems those who have ‘Receive Update Earlier’ turned on are the ones getting the new update.
Meanwhile, the update is hitting eligible units with a version number – MIUI 12.5.3.0 RJSEUXM. It comes with the features of MIUI 12.5 to improve system performance. From the feedback, navigation has improved while some bugs affecting the phone have been fixed. Also, it’s now possible to uninstall system apps while background memory usage and power consumption have been reduced to improve performance. You can check the changes here.
Again, the rollout is limited to select users, but with an authorized Mi Beta, you can flash the ROM manually. Also, you can flash via TWRP or wait for the update to arrive via OTA. And don’t forget to follow our tracker page to know when the update becomes available in your region.
