It took Xiaomi years to release the first Mi I series phone but a few months to debut its successor. The Mi 10i debuted early this year, a few months later, Xiaomi Mi 11i made its global debut. It is essentially the same device as the Redmi K40 Pro Plus that debuted in China alongside the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro. The Mi 11i features a tall AMOLED display, runs the premium Qualcomm processor, and a 4520mAh battery.

It got everything right and has been awarded an A+ mark by Display Mate. The display sports a 6.67-inch FullHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. There’s support for HDR10+, meaning you can stream and playback HDR videos on most streaming platforms. For protection, Xiaomi has equipped the device with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to complement the study build.

Powering the Mi 11i is the most powerful Qualcomm SoC – Snapdragon 888. It has a prime core clocked at 2.8GHz. The SoC is paired with an LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for faster data processing. Coupled with Adreno 660, graphics rendering has improved, and with up to 12GB RAM, multitasking will be seamless. Outside-of-the-box, you get MIUI 12 on top of Android 11 as Xiaomi prepares to migrate the device to MIUI 12.5.

The Xiaomi Mi 11i features a primary 108MP shooter with a big 1/1.52″ sensor size. It supports shooting 8K and 4K videos @ 30fps and 30/60fos, respectively. There’s an 8MP ultra-wide lens and 5MP macro shooter, while the front camera features a 20MP sensor. It supports face unlock and shooting 1080p@30fps. Meanwhile, you’ll get a better camera performance with the Mi 11 Ultra, but that will cost you close to €1000.
Xiaomi Mi 11i battery and security
Powering the Xiaomi Mi 11i is a 4520mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It takes roughly an hour for a full charge. You’ll go days on a decent use, thanks to the SoC power efficiency and software optimization. As per security, the device uses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It triggers voice assistance, a control center, and more on a double-tap.
Xiaomi Mi 11i price and availability
