The Xiaomi Mi A3 Android security patch update for May is now live. It’s arriving with interesting bug fixes and system optimization. The update is based on Android 10 and weighs in at 35.47MB. Meanwhile, expect a bigger sized update if you’re still in Android Pie.
It has taken Xiaomi quite some time to fix all the bugs that arrived with the first Mi A3 Android 10 rollout. According to users in Mi community forum, the fourth rollout, which arrived with a version number – V11.0.14.0 – was the best as it got so many things right. And just a couple of days ago, the EEA users started getting the update, although it left some bugs, it wasn’t anything near the bugs reported by the global users.
Meanwhile, the company is now rolling out the Mi A3 Android security patch update for May, coming with a version number V11.0.15.0 QFQMIXM. It has fixed most, if not all, the reported bugs from the previous update, and below is the list of fixes that arrived with the update.
All bugs fixed with the Xiaomi Mi A3 Android security patch update for May
- Fix: Camera shutter speed. Before it was locked at 1/4s but now has other options
- Fix: Launcher issues
- Fix: Icon size is back to normal
- Fix: Fingerprint bugs
Unfortunately, the settings suggestion bug is yet to get a fix as you can’t remove it still. But then, that’s a massive improvement over the last updates.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 Android security patch update for May, it’s also a staged rollout. According to a moderator in the Mi community forum, it will be made available for just 10% of users (excluding India). It will then be released to the general public from the user’s feedback.
