It looks like Xiaomi isn’t done with the Mi A3 yet, as the device starts getting a new update. The current rollout is available for both global and European users.
Xiaomi Mi A3 arrived in July 2019 under the Android One program running stock Android 9 (Pie). Under the Android One policy, Xiaomi supports the device for three years, during which it will roll out two Android OS upgrades. Of course, the Mi A3 is currently running Android 11, and with the July 2022 security patch, we thought the support has ended, but that’s not the case.
According to the latest report, a new update with the August 2022 security patch is seeding for the Mi A3 units. The update comes with a version number V12.0.23.0 RFQEUXM in Europe, while the global models are getting a stable V12.0.26.0 RFQMIXM. The build weighs 10.45MB, downloadable via settings>>about phone>>system update.
As usual, the August 2022 security patch for Mi A3 has increased system security, stability, performance, and fixed bugs. It’s likely the last security patch update that’ll arrive for the device, and we recommend installing the update when prompted.
