Xiaomi has consistently rolled out security patch updates to the Mi A3 since the device elapsed its Android OS support. The device is running Android 11 currently, and with no hope of Android 12 from the company, the device users can, at least, enjoy a new security patch update every month. However, the Xiaomi Mi A3 February security patch is coming late, as we’re in March already.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 is the only device under the Mi A-series with active support. Although that would end soon, it hasn’t affected the promised security patch updates. That has been rolling out consistently for the past couple of years, but sometimes, it’d experience delays. Perhaps, the case of the February 2022 security patch, which started rolling out on March 1st.
The update is seeding with a version number – V12.0.20.0 RFQMIXM, and weighs 13.39MB. It’s a small-sized package, meaning it has probably pushed the Android security patch level to February 2022. We don’t think the update came with bug fixes, but it has supposedly improved performance and stability.
Currently, only the global users are getting the update, and hopefully, the European models will get there in the coming days. And luckily, the update is safe, and you can install it when prompted to improve performance and security.
